Privacy Policy

Dibs is built to be private and calm. This policy explains, in plain language, what data is and isn't collected when you use the Dibs app ("Dibs", "we", "us"). If anything here is unclear, email us at callyourdibs@gmail.com.

The short version

• No account, no login. You don't give us your name, email, or password to use the app.
• Your notes and tasks stay on your device. We don't collect them or upload them to our servers.
• The only data collected is your purchase history, and only to run subscriptions. It isn't linked to your identity and isn't used to track you.
• No ads. No third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Your notes and tasks

Everything you capture in Dibs — tasks, notes, ideas — is stored locally on your device. This content is not transmitted to us and is not accessible by us. If you delete the app, this on-device data is removed with it.

Purchases and subscriptions

When you start a subscription or buy Dibs Pro, the payment itself is processed by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment details. To manage your subscription and unlock Pro features, we use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, which processes your purchase history on our behalf.

This purchase data is used only for app functionality (validating purchases, restoring them, and enabling Pro access) and for basic aggregate analytics about subscriptions. It is associated with an anonymous identifier generated by RevenueCat, not with your name or identity, and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites. You can review RevenueCat's privacy practices in their privacy policy.

What we do NOT collect

Dibs does not collect your contact info, location, contacts, photos, browsing or search history, health data, or device advertising identifiers. Dibs contains no third-party advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Children's privacy

Dibs is rated 4+ and is intended for a general audience. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention and your choices

Because your content lives on your device, you control it directly — edit or delete items in the app, or delete the app to remove it all. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained per their own policies. You may contact us at any time with questions or requests regarding your data.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the new version on this page.
